Do you feel a little anxious about visiting our dentist? Does that anxiety tend to get worse on the day of your appointment? If so, talk to our dentist and team about oral sedation.
Oral sedation can take the form of a liquid, but in most cases, you will take a pill prior to your appointment. By the time you arrive at our office, you should feel very relaxed, but you will remain conscious and will be able to talk with our dentist if you need to do so. You may not remember all of the details of your appointment clearly. This is normal and nothing to worry about. Since oral sedation involves taking a single pill, it is easy to do and is an inexpensive option to help take the edge off of your dental visit.
If you choose this option, you will need to follow the instructions our dentist will give you. Although you will not be unconscious, your ability to drive and function will be impaired, and you will need someone to drive you to and from your appointment.
Oral sedation involves a prescription, and our dentist will need information from you before your visit. To learn more and make oral sedation a part of your appointment, call our office today.
